False Turkey Tail

I spotted something orange in the distance and on the other side of the deep fast flowing stream. I found a narrow spot where I thought I could just about get over. The spaniel shot across and I followed, almost immediately sinking thigh deep in cold water. I managed to clamber out but then had to go back into the water to fish about for one missing welly. The spaniel was definitely laughing at me as I emptied the boots and wrung out the sodden socks ready for the last two miles of the walk. So, here it is, a hard won but absolutely gorgeous False Turkey Tail fungus.
