A Moment

Open the back door
Listen

Hear the movement in the wind,
the power and strength of the Lord,
today a lamb, maybe tomorrow a lion
 
Take a breath,
be still and quiet,
Colours, sights and sounds of the Lord
 
The kites talking as they fly above,
whilst a blackbird chatters nearby.
the wind rustling in the trees
 
Seeing shadows on the fence,
reflections in the bird bath,
a glimpse of blue skies and sunshine
 
Take a moment to say thank you to the Lord!

A lovely 'zoom' quiet day which was split up into 4 parts.  It was vey well done.  We had a meditation before our lunch break break, which was really relaxing.  

After lunch we shared some things and then listened to a song called 'Everyday God' by Bernadette Farrell which I haven't heard before.  Beautiful words :)

Then we had another break when we were asked to look or go outside and try to write a psalm or poem.  I don't pretend what I wrote was either but they are words that I thought of :)

We came back to the group and shared our thoughts, words and pictures :)

The day finished with music from John Rutter's 'The Lord Bless You and Keep You'

So relaxed I could sleep now at half past four in the afternoon!
