Garlic

The garlic is looking well; most if not all the planted cloves have emerged.  They got a good dose of frost last week, so they should multiply into bulbs with many cloves, rather than one big clove.  It seems quite easy to grow garlic, so one has to wonder why most of the garlic in the shops is imported from China.  The home-grown is credited with a much better flavour than the imported.
