A new vacuum cleaner is needed sadly so scooted (not literally) into Timaru to shop around and see what is available, there is such a huge selection from reasonably priced to very expensive.  We bought takeaway Chinese and went to Caroline Bay to eat.  Delicious.  This photo was taken as we drove away, through the port.  I’ll call this art, it took my eye, only managed one photo before it trundled away along the rails. 

Up date on the cylinder ..... the assessor came this morning, all bad news, our floor will have to be replaced, which means all the skirting boards have to be removed and replaced, then all the walls will have to be repainted.  They have appointed a builder who will coordinate with joiners, floorers, painters and anything else that is required to get the place shipshape again.  There may be the need for us to live somewhere else while some of this is happening which will be paid for by the insurance company.  I can see this will take some months.  What will be will be.
