Nearly morning tea time!
We were walking up to the lookout yesterday when we got caught in a shower and sat under a tree, waiting.
We were just about to carry on when we saw a Peregrine Falcon heading our way cruising the uplift. There’s been a pair nesting there this year. The Silverback got his iPhone out to snap it flying by.
Just as it reached our vantage point it spotted something to eat down in the sand dunes and went into full ‘coming to get you’ mode; wings back, claws at the ready.
It plummeted earthwards at great speed then suddenly changed its mind and popped back up to our level to continue cruising the cliff.
Its target never knew how close it came to death.
