Small Wins

Two Greenfinches in the garden today. They didn't stay long enough for a photo. Last year was a good one for them, but today's pair was the first of the year. It was a mild day, and there was a definite feel of Spring in the air - mild weather, Robins singing loudly, bulbs poking through, and the male House Sparrows' plumage starting to colour up in readiness for the mating season. However, more icy weather and possible snow is forecast for next week.
