Seed cake

This is silly but ever since I first read The Hobbit I wondered what a seed cake was . I recently found out as there is a recipe for one in Paul Hollywood’s British Baking. I made one tonight ! And of course had to have at least a sliver in spite of being quite full from take out . So now I know.I guess like Bilbo I can say I saved it for my arter dinner morsel. Somewhat more successfully than Bilbo;)
