Bench mark

I've always been intrigued by this bench on the Potter Fell Road.  It's not in particularly good order, doesn't have a memorial plaque, doesn't have a particularly good view, but yet someone has gone to the effort  of raising it by 5 steps from the roadside.  I suppose it's near the top of the hill, so if you're walking or running it's a good spot to stop for moment, which is always appreciated.
