Red Beck

Red Beck runs through Heaton Woods, previously an area of extensive industry with mining and brick making. A small tributary runs orangy red caused by iron ochre from the old mines. There's plenty of water running through at the moment.
I had a lovely solo walk this morning, followed by a loop through Northcliffe with the kids before heading home to make sandwiches for our birthday Zoom afternoon tea with family.
