A walk by the sea and in the woods
It has been a day of two halves...neither of which had any dieting element. This morning Jon and I went to Cromer to a couple of shops, and then for a long walk by the sea.We bought a takeaway coffee and a giant bun we shared. It was very cold and windy, so we took a steep set of muddy wet steps up into the woods and wandered through. We took this photo balancing my phone on a log.
Then back through a nice housing estate, which would be the perfect place to live, but totally out of our price range. We discussed where we live and how we both want to live somewhere bigger. Then what our options are. The conclusion being we have to stay where we are, but perhaps try to extend at the back. It was nice having a long chat. I know it will never come to anything.
After lunch, Mollie and I headed into the loft where we spent about 5 hours sorting boxes, and turning out old school books for the bonfire. So desperate for space, so it was good to free up a little bit. The loft and landing now look like a bomb has hit.
Jon cooked a curry from Morrison's for tea, and we watched the film 'The Dig' on netflix about the Sutton Hoo burial. It was really good. It is one thing that made a big impression on me when at junior school we visited the treasure at the British Museum. So wish I had known that archeology was a thing back then. My life would have been so different.
Now a bit of a late night!
