Downtown San Mateo. Haven't been here in a while and the last time it was very quiet (because of the wildfire smoke and covid). Today wasn't quiet so we didn't linger.
Restaurants reopened to outdoor dining on Monday, hair salons, barbers, etc., are open again too.
Discombobulated today, the smoke detector in our bedroom started bleating that the battery was dying at around 4-something. I wear earplugs, hubby had decamped to the guestroom already, but I continued to snooze until the intermittent bleep incorporated into a weird dream. Came to and realized. Fed Naboo, then got the ladder out and found the batteries with a flashlight. Once the battery was changed I went back to bed not expecting to sleep, but I did, late.
Pretty sky today.
