Swanee River

It was a very grey, windy day with not much in the way of inspiration. The only passable shot I took was of these two swans by Dockray Bridge and even this I’m not particularly happy with.

Still, it was a nice wander with the duvet coat keeping a bitterly cold wind from my bones, and I again bumped into world record holder; GinaG73 with husband Dave and had a quick chat so shouldn’t complain!

I messed with some stuff on the writing aspect and tried out a couple of things from a filming point of view. No idea if it will work, but it’s fun trying something different!

Caught up on a couple of films I’ve been meaning to see which were Dolemite Is My Name (arguably a role MADE for Eddie Murphy) and If Beale Street Could Talk, which was phenomenal. I love films which take their time to play out, yet still keep you engaged and as for the soundtrack…..sheesh, it’s just a thing of utter, utter, beauty. Timing the watching of it with the Malcolm X autobiography on the reading pile, has given this particular ignoramus plenty to think about. 

Also started binging It’s a Sin, which is also excellent. Olly Alexander (of Years & Years fame) is a revelation. Couple of episodes to go….I don’t think there’s a happy ending in the offing.

I am overdue a hot and sweaty run.
