Frosty winter morning
So Darren was up and about early this morning. Having looked out of the window he knew it had been a very cold frosty night, he also knew it would have been cold enough to freeze all the muddy paths, of which there are many around the local reservoirs. He decided we would have our walk this morning at the third different reservoir this week. We are lucky enough to have 4 reservoirs within a mile from home, the closest we walk to as it’s a 3 minute walk to get to, the others we go in car, though we could walk to all of them if we needed to.
The car park was empty when we arrived and we had the walk to our self’s, almost, we did come across some more cold water swimmers, 2 women, this despite the majority of the reservoir being frozen.
It was a good walk although my little feet were getting quite cold, Darren is always careful not to keep me out too long when it’s really cold, an hours walk and we were back at car and then a trip to the local supermarket, Darren was in and out in ten minutes, then back home.
I’ve sneaked up stairs to have a lay down on bed, I’ve earned it :-)
