The Ross Fountain

This fountain was produced in France and was an exhibit at The Great Exhibition in 1862. It was bought by gunmaker Daniel Ross for £2000 and gifted to the city and installed at it’s present site in West Princes Street Gardens in 1872.
It was recently refurbished to the tune of £1.9m. in 2017/8.
Nice Sunday walk today Marchmont, The Meadows, Lothian Road, Princes Street, Cockburn Street, Royal Mile & home.
