Rooted in Rock

We had a nice morning walk to then around Ravelston Dykes Local Nature Reserve (6.5km/4 miles).  We enjoyed looking at the trees rooted in rock, and how their roots wrapped around and over different rocky layers to get a good grip.  We also explored an old quarry.

CyclopsJnr had a lovely call with Granny and Grandpa when he got home, then after lunch we played some football and monopoly.  He and MrsCyclops made scones too!
