Full Lace Moon

January's full wolf moon rose over the treetops on Thursday late in the afternoon. It was golden and glorious, but then the clouds ate it up, and I didn't get any moon shots at all that night. But finally, on this evening, we had clear skies, and though it was rather chilly, out I went with my camera.

Here is a shot of the nearly full moon rising through the trees. Though I didn't catch it at complete fullness, it still put on quite a good show! I liked the way the trees and branches looked against that glorious moon, like natural lace. So here is a glimpse of the full lace moon!
