2021-01-30 (Day 030) Avon Heritage Trail
My son and I went for a walk along part of the Avon Heritage Trail today. This is where a small burn joins the River Avon at Muiravonside, and was taken with the Spectre camera app for the iPhone.
We really enjoyed the walk that we did, the Falkirk section of the walk has some fascinating features - a disused but stunning railway viaduct, a pretty waterfall, the cave where William Wallace is believed to have hidden after losing the Battle Of Falkirk in 1298, and the birthplace of Henry Bell, who created the first steam ferry service in Europe.
I look forward to exploring this more when rules permit!
