alice blip

had a day out today... let the train take the strain and (thanks to book in advance super deal from trainline.com) travelled to visit little Alice...

train was brilliant - took less time than the car journey and no traffic to negotiate - arrived in good time to an alice who was fast asleep... quick detour to Waitrose where alice woke up - and the blip is the expression on her face when she saw me - as if to say 'what are you doing here grandma, i was talking to you on facetime last night, you shouldn't be here'... headed back to alice's home and spent a nice day with daughter and granddaughter...

train and bus home... chili almost ready... and 10000 steps on the old pedometer ...

and... as if that wasn't enough, lovefilm have delivered the next installment of 'the killing' (nordic noir series we've been following) - so it's chili and retire with dvd for us this evening!

back to the crystals and the market tomorrow, had a great time with alice and her mummy today...
