A Winter Scene & Lockdown Birthday

It's my birthday today and although we couldn't go out anywhere special like we normally would, I've had a really lovely day.  Just opening all my cards and beautiful presents made the day special. Also, receiving messages and having chats with friends and family has been great.  M and I are saving our bottle of champagne and special home-cooked meal for another 5 days time as he's been avoiding alcohol for the two weeks since his Covid jab, and so we'll raise a glass then to celebrate my birthday.

The painting is M's latest water-colour which he's just finished and a favourite of mine, I do love a snowy scene.
