Wrack and ruin

Today is Latha Fhèill Bhrìghde, traditionally the first day of spring in the Gaelic Calender.  However it felt far from spring like when we were out walking this morning with more snow forecast for the rest of the week. 


However I had decided to make a few changes to my routine and aim to start my walk with a longer walk which did today - a circular route jeading up to Kinnard, then over to Edradour and down into town.  It is a walk we do three or four times a year and we always stop to have a look at this once fine house (probably a gate lodge) which has fallen into disrepair. 

Thanks to a suggestion from Dakers I have now checked the building at risks register and it does indeed have an entry.
