Plantation planting
It rained all day but early on before it truly set in Dog and I walked up into the network of woodland and heath above the house. There is a lot of plantation planting up there, conifer of course, but coppiced chestnuts and this somewhat random stand of Eucalyptus that I was told was an experimental planting for bio fuel. It does look odd.
The rest of the day was spent unpacking, ferrying stuff between house and barn (big shed) trying to choose some rugs for the hall and then, in the evening, going over to the parents to supervise Dad on the Stairlift. Which is somewhat alarming but ultimately I hope liberating. X and S headed north today so we’re trying to leave them on their own a bit more between the crunch periods of the day.
