Early exit...

... We had to change our cat flap a while back and went for one which is connected to the Internet.  This gives us the ability to set times when it will and will not open and it logs if the cats have been through it.  

Overnight we put a cover on it, the cover is made from an old mouse mat and fits in the little tunnel.  We have it as at times the flap does let the cold in but it also blocks it for the cats overnight.  Claude has worked out how to take the cover off and seems to know when the flat will be open... although he could have spent a lot of time bashing it before hand, for all we know.

Each morning Claude takes off the cover and gets to go out for an early morning wander.  He then sits on the window ledge by the front door waiting for Rich to open the blind and let him back in.  Every day it is the same and quite sweet... well except today he had come back in and was waiting in the kitchen.  The webcam caught him going past so we know he had been out.

The rest of the day was the usual… work, exercise, bit more work, eat, sleep... repeat.
