Project 365 day 33: the seeds are here!

Well, some of them - there are still a number of odds and ends from other suppliers, and I have quite a lot unused or saved from last year too.  However, my spirits always leap when the first little box of bright, new packets arrives, full of hope and promise. I love sowing seeds - it's a small gesture of faith in the future and the earth's capacity to provide for us. It also convinces me that although it's still cold, dark and very muddy, spring is coming. This week, I hope to find time to clear up the garden room, set up the heated propagator to start the first tomatoes and aubergines, make an overdue first sowing of broad beans, and set out the seed potatoes to chit.
