Cactus flower...

This is one of many flowers on a cactus that I have had for several years. It one of the few survivors of the great heater failure in the greenhouse last January. I lost many dear friends, but was thrilled to see that this guy had not only made it, but even has managed to have 7 flowers. It is a mounding cactus and is purple not green.

Today, I am grateful for the day I was given, my cactus and other succulent plant friends, the glory of a cactus bloom and a pansy blossom, and the fun Mara and I had watering them today.
