Common Sandpiper #20
Lockdown 3.0 Day #30
Is it really only a month since the start of this lockdown? It seems so much longer. Oh well, at least we are still healthy.
This morning was quite nice and sunny which was a bit unexpected and if we hadn't have had someone coming to trim the conifers at the bottom of the garden, we would have gone out for a walk. So straight after lunch we jumped in the car and drove the 3 miles to Spike Island in search of a blip. Of course as soon as we got there it clouded over and looked like rain, but the tide was out and we located the sandpipers almost immediately. They were in exactly the same place as last week :) I love it when that happens.
The sun did come out for a few minutes again and I managed to get a few shots, but this is very heavily cropped as they were quite far out. We also saw a nice grey wagtail which takes this years tally up to 60.
Blip in the bag, we headed home and timed it nicely as it just started to rain as we stepped out of the car.
