The Cobbler

I had a practice run this morning for a zoom talk I am doing next Wednesday morning. It is a one-off talk as I normally do joint talks with Guy. It is to the Royal Society of Medicine Camera Club and the person who booked it has suggested 'My Life in Photography' as a title. So I am starting with an old darkroom image that was my first ever success in an international exhibition. I photographed the print this morning.

This chap used to mend our shoes years ago. The most annoying thing was that he put on brand new overalls for his portrait session. I didn't have much confidence then and didn't dare ask him to put his old, well-worn, overalls on.
