Snow's back - well, for a few hours

As I went to bed last night, the forecast was for snow this morning - looking out of the window just before 11pm, there was nothing. By the morning, we had a good couple of inches outside the house, and it was falling heavily. I grabbed the camera and went into the field opposite. I wanted the snow falling heavily to isolate this copse of trees against a muted background. Being early, I also managed to avoid footprints, sledgers and snowboarders that filled the field by 10 am.

As the day passed, the snow turned to rain, so by the evening, most of it had already gone. Still - always good to get a fresh snowfall.
