Nearly a sunset.......

I make no apologies for my obsessive quest for sunsets. Unfortunately, living on a north facing hill above a north facing bay thwarts this quest - especially during a lockdown where we can only ‘exercise from home’. The best I can hope for is a pink-tinged sky - beautiful enough reflected in the sea, but even  this has been absent in a month of grey skies. 

Today, however, there was a golden glow behind the trees as the sun dipped, adding another dimension to the usual palette. Spirits are visibly lifted as those strolling along the beach look up at this strange, unfamiliar sight. It’s close to 5.00 pm and it’s still light, the air seems warmer and life just seems  better.
