Root systems

Underground, producing potatoes and yams, kumaras and other delights; running through our network of families and friends back through countless generations; deep in our subconscious, affecting our daily life in unseen but significant ways. Thoughts like these somehow got me into this piece of stitching...and then the sheer pleasure of the activity overcame reflection and I just relaxed into it for its own sake!!
