Catkins
I was prowling around the garden thinking of a different potential subject when I noticed that the catkins on this hazel were at an interesting stage with the stamens just emerging. The catkins on the other one - same location, different cultivar - are barely elongating at the moment. This image was taken with the 50 - 250mm lens & cropped - I thought I'd experiment again later with the macro lens as a comparison but the breeze continued to increase so it wasn't worth it!
