Abstract Thursday: Disturbing the Earth's Winter Sleep

Things are moving in the garden.  The bulbs are all starting to push their shoots up towards the sun.  It will be Spring before we know it at this rate. 

 I've played with this shot of the crocuses in the rain using Affinity Photo.  These things are very subjective but I rather like this sort of effect, which looks almost graphic rather than photographic, if you know what I mean.

Brilliant news on the sister front today as Happy_Janwen received her first dose of the vaccine.  In less happy news our daughter Jess who lives in Nottingham is currently running a temperature and has applied for a covid test.  We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that she recovers quickly from whatever bug it is that she has caught.
