Time to bale out

A walk at Blakeney this afternoon.  This chap passed me on his bicycle carrying a bucket; at first I thought he might have been going to dig for shellfish but instead he waded across the river and started baling out this dinghy.  And that was it; job done, he headed off again.  Perhaps his daily routine?

Lots of geese grazing on the marsh and as it was late afternoon they kept taking off in big noisy flocks, presumably heading off to wherever they spend the night.  I also spotted what I’m pretty sure is a Marsh Harrier flying across; I’ve added a shot of it as an extra but it is very heavily cropped.
