Little Egret

I spent the afternoon on my own at Trentham Gardens. The first round of the lake was a little busy so I didn't really stop for photography. 

When I went round again I spotted a Little Egret landing in the shallow water near the edge of the lake. I really thought I wouldn't get close enough for a shot before it flew away. But I was lucky. I crept up slowly hiding behind trees and shrubs before  I got to a spot where I could crouch down. I then spent ages watching and taking images.
