The Park
I'm so, so tired of mud. We get home every afternoon, children caked in mud, dog caked in mud. Car with mud ingrained in it. Sometimes I'm up for it, sometimes I've had enough of it. Today, I avoided it with a trip to the park with the boys. The husband followed us down, collected the car from the garage (MOT - nothing 'extra' found and so a far better bill than the £1,000 it cost us last year!) and then he scooped up the boys, gave the dog to me and I walked home. Worked really well - unless you are the dog and feeling rather short changed of any fields for the day.
Good day of schooling, I rarely manage to get all the way through the work that is set, but we also seem to keep quite busy. Some great advice about helping the youngest who can be more than a little reticent about his lessons.
Today I'm grateful for:
Boys who had a blast in the park, got soaking wet and thought it was all great fun
Bumping into the mother of a great friend (who is having a tough old time of life at the moment) at the market this morning
20,000 steps today, if only I could find the time to do this every day
