Likeable Social Media

I've been conflicted in recent times by the negative aspects of social media. I've watched documentaries on the way in which users are manipulated by the algorithms working in the background that select much of what you see, reinforcing certain beliefs or preferences at the expense of a broader perspective, pushing advertising at you having analysed the sites you visit. It makes me uneasy and as a result I have spent much less time on certain 'major' players in this area of the internet.

It's good to know that there are still some forms of social media which don't target you in this way.
