Sad day

I received a call from my cousin just before midday. Her mum, my auntie had passed away sometime during the night. Such a shock, she had not been unwell, my cousin had seen her at the weekend and they would speak to each other twice a day. It is the anniversary of my uncles passing today, my cousins dad - one year ago today.

My aunt was the life and soul of the party, loved a joke and a sing song and had been dedicated to my uncle and their daughter. My sister and I reminisced today, our aunt was always happy making people drinks (cups of tea), baking cakes and a good host at a party (even if it wasn’t her party). She managed to get away with saying things that you thought about but never said; although loved cracking jokes, she always had time for you and was very loving.
