A pound

The stretch of canal between two locks is known as a "pound."

It felt positively spring-like this afternoon. If only it were possible to go somewhere to enjoy it. Wandering the highways and byways near home is all very well, and is quite varied and enjoyable, the only surprises come though variations in the light and weather conditions.
