Such a beautiful day.   It was a joy to finally get out for a walk this afternoon.   I had a busier than anticipated work day and thought I'd never get outside.

Gosh, just heard that Christopher Plummer has died. I know he was, by all accounts, a tricky old devil, but I have always been a little bit in love with him as Captain Von Trapp in the Sound of Music.
I heard, somewhere, that he described working with Julie Andrews as akin to being hit repeatedly in the face with a valentine card.
