Hey mate!

A morning in Croydon working then upto Euston Station to meet Mum off the North Wales train. Whilst lurking at platform 7 awaiting her arrival, a very familiar looking guy rolls up to me with two kids in tow and says in a broad scouse accent "hey mate, you woudn't know wa train is goin from ere would ya?". I thought "hmmm, you look familiar", but didn't say anything, and it was only after he trundled away that it clicked - ahhh, that was John Power from top-Britpop-scouse-jangley-pop-combo Cast! He looked like he was in a rush though so I'm sure he wouldn't have appreciated me chatting with him about Britpop memories for an hour or two...

Still, Mum arrived and she's now ensconced on the sofa with her knitting, ready for a fun-packed (ahem) few days.
