Daff after dark

The fourth consecutive day of leaden skies and continuous rain! MrM suggested getting out for a walk this afternoon whatever the weather. But when the time came the rain was torrential and showing no sign of easing up, and it didn't take long to change our minds. Exercise on the bike, then!

We need to expand our repertoire of home-made soups, there were some cannellini beans in the cupboard, and I found a recipe for 'Easy white bean soup'. Made a big pot full this morning, but MrM wasn't impressed at my offering of "baked beans in a bowl"! Only eight more portions in the freezer...

Not much sign of spring in the 'yard as yet, but the tete-a-tete miniature daffs on the kitchen windowsill look cheerful.
