Three Rooks

We checked out the water meadows but they were still too deeply flooded so we walked at Lodge Farm instead in the drizzle. There's a saying, a crow in a crowd is a rook, a rook on its own is a crow. I can see the grey beaks of the birds in my pic so they're definitely gregarious rooks.

It was pouring with rain, very boggy underfoot and quite mild when we went for our 'torch walk'. I'll be very surprised if the forecast Beast from the Baltic snowstorm arrives tomorrow.
