Spoilt for choice
It was a beautiful day so I decided to take myself off up the hill behind our house to see if there were any views worth photographing and it was well worth the effort. The air was very clear (and cold!) and I could see right out to the Outer Hebrides. However, it was the hills a little closer to home with quite a smattering of snow that really took my fancy. The main is looking across the north of Mull towards the island of Rum with the smaller island of Muck below the snow-capped peaks. I really stretched my lens to its limit in the first extra showing the sunlit Cuillin Hills of Skye. The four layers of land in the second extra are: Mull in the foreground, the Ardnamurchan peninsula beyond, the knobbly dark layer is the Sgurr of Eigg and the snow-covered peak is Blaven on Skye. I couldn't resist including the third extra showing the lovely couple that I met on the way home. Sadly, they refused to stay and chat.
