Here’s Johnny!

Lockdown 3 - Day 33

Meet Johnny, full name - Johnny Woodward.  I mentioned him a while ago, he’s a Pelham Ventriloquist Puppet that mum and dad bought me when I was about 10 years old, and has been kept in mum’s loft for many years.  I didn’t even know if she still had him, but fortunately she did and I brought him home with me.  At about 46 years of age and being being a Pelham Puppet, I expect he’s worth something now!

Scarlett and Violet found him quite intriguing, and he sits in their bedroom at our house, but not surprisingly, when they last came to stay, they said there wasn’t room for him because they’d brought their own toys.  I think maybe he’s a little bit scary to have in the room overnight!

Back to today - it’s been a bit of a strange day!  We had 6 house viewings booked, the first two at 9.15 and 9.45am and then the rest between 12.30 - 3pm and we needed to be out of the house.

So this morning we put the boys in the car and we went to get takeaway bacon rolls for breakfast which we ate in the car.  We went home once we knew the viewings were over and I went round and used dettol wipes on the door handles.  At 12pm we went out again in Bertie Bus - I had to go to Tesco to do a food shop and also drop off a return at Next.

We didn’t think we’d hear anything until Monday, but at 4.30pm the agent called to say that the last guy had made an offer, albeit £15,000 below the asking price.  He said he was a cash buyer, but we’re not prepared to drop that much when it’s only just gone on the market and there’s been so much interest.  So we’ll wait and see if he’s prepared to increase his offer.

Oh, and I received notification today of a PPI payout which was a nice surprise!  Unfortunately it was on a joint loan with my ex-husband so I only get 50% but it’s still a reasonable amount so I’m happy - he’s very happy as he did nothing to get it, hey ho!

It’s blowing a gale tonight and apparently snow is forecast, but I won’t hold my breath, it would be nice if it did snow though.
