Pylon

Walking to the large Sainsbury's in Colliers Wood. In the small park there is a Pylon which seems to stand sentinel next to the River Wandle. It reminds me of a giant Mythological warrior surveying the battlefield spread out before him. I'm rather fond of Pylons. There's something pleasing about the grid, the height, the arms, the wide legged stance. I could imagine this one suddenly coming to life and dancing a menacing South London Haka.
