This kettle is high up on the bookshelf, very close to the ceiling.  Quite a distance away, so the shot is not as clear as I wanted it to be.

The weather forecast was negative and will remain so this whole weekend, so no driving.  Winter is here and the snow arrived late in the evening.

The usual activities, with AW and Marie enjoying themselves playing online bridge and me with my research.  Had to untangle a family that had married into three of the branches, resulting in some fairly complicated connections.  By the time I had got it all sorted out, it was too late for anything else.  A different kind of fun.

That said, the feeling of being under lockdown has never been more intense than today, with the weather and the virus working together to keep everyone inside.  I don't think there was much enthusiasm for an anti-government protest either, which is something I am thankful for, anyway.  Also thankful we have enough in the larder and there are no errands to do.  Many years ago, growing up under abusive circumstances, being under lockdown was normal, and I know that the situation is temporary, usually, and that there's always a way to amuse oneself.  Lesson learned -- don't mess with your own head.

PS.  333 views for yesterday's windmill is particularly amazing.  THANK YOU for dropping by and leaving stars and comments!
