The Nine Muses
This was what I had intended to photograph yesterday when I saw the fungus.
They are placed on the outside wall of Carmichael Hall in Eastwood Park. Our local theatre.
The hall is currently being used as a Covid Vaccination Centre. I think that production will have a long run. I hear it's getting good reviews too!
The nine Muses and their gifts of song, dance, and joy helped the gods and the ancient Greeks forget their troubles and focus on art and beauty.
(Now there's an idea!)
The Muses were the embodiment of certain artistic ideals, and they inspired musicians, writers, and performers to reach even greater artistic and intellectual heights.
The Muses are:
Urania, Euterpe, Polyhymnia
Erato, Melpomene, Clio
Thalia, Terpsichore, Calliope
The photos of each Muse can be seen here along with a more detailed description. And a bit more about them on this link.
The nine photos were taken on a Samsung SM-A715F phone,
edited on the phone using Google Photos,
and the collage made, again on the phone, using the MOLDIV app.
