A smattering of snow

The rain suddenly turned to snow yesterday evening and quickly painted much of the landscape white. It is cold today with a biting NE wind and getting colder. We diverted from our planned walk this morning to find shelter from the wind and have not wanted to venture out again. However, we have booked a take-away from a restaurant as a treat for tonight so have to go and collect. (Our fingers have been crossed all day that there will not be more snow to make travelling very difficult as the restaurant is a few miles away.)
I have completed the UPP Folio ready for posting tomorrow and ordered more photographic paper from Fotospeed as I have run out of lustre paper are usually use. 
Mixed news about the effectiveness of vaccines on the different mutations of the virus. Hopefully the vaccine will at least provide protection against severe illness and death. We are going to have to accept that the Covid virus is not going to go away and will continue to mutate so that vaccination will be repeated regularly.
