The Bridge at Low Gardens

Two campers were rescued by Patterdale Mountain Rescue early this morning.  One of the Mountain Rescue team suffered a serious injury during the call out.

This is the old bridge (18thC). I was stood on the 'new' metal bridge which is alongside. I think the new one was built during the war to withstand vehicles.

Bitterly cold, and not many people out. Always feel better for a blast out in the fresh air.  

Back home for roast dinner, and dress-up-Sunday. Better get a wiggle on.
