Amaryllis

This is a new plant we received for Christmas, with two buds shooting up.
By contrast, my red one is not yet showing any sign of flowering - maybe a little jealous.

Edit: extra of our table for 45 minutes in the evening during an extensive, but most unusual, power cut. I had been watching 'New Lives In The Wild', where the subjects lived without such luxuries - how ironic!
