New neighbour

Actually he isn’t new, but he does hang around this tree outside our kitchen window a lot when he isn’t hopping on and off the bird feeder in the garden! I would guess he is puffed up to protect him from the cold weather...

We went up onto Ashdown Forest (passed by AA Milne’s house) and walked through the driving snow up to Friend’s Clump. Despite being called a forest there aren’t actually that many trees (apart from 500 acre wood aka 100 acre wood and which isn’t nearly that big.. it is beautiful open heathland in the heart of Sussex and is open to the public all year round to roam over.

Snow!

AG asked me whether I liked snow or not... I said I love it, particularly when I am looking at it in a picture (as this generally done from the confines of warmth!!). She agreed that the downside of snow was that it is always cold!
